Gregory "Sarge" Stauffer

With over 20 years of coaching experience at the High School, Collegiate and Independent Professional League levels Sarge is considered to be one of the finest coaches in the state of Michigan within the baseball community.

Having received certification by USA Baseball he is one of the few individuals in the state to have received the A, B & C Levels by USA Baseball. He has worked with individuals from schools and travel programs throughout the Metro Detroit Area. The fact that competing youth travel teams work with Gregory is a testament to the amount of respect they have for his ability to teach and have only the best interest of the student-athletes in mind.

He is quick to say that he is the 25th best player on a 24 man roster. Typically, the vendor selling hot dogs out in right field has a better arm than himself. Yet he continually finds himself being asked to play for some of the highest level of competition teams including the 2018 World Series Champion Jet Box in the 42 and over Division of Roy Hobbs. In spite of his playing skill limitations it is his team first approach and ability to help those around him achieve success that makes him in such high demand. years of training in the corporate sector is brought over to his baseball teaching methods producing great results for his students.

Besides his private training he has coached for Macomb Community College (Warren, MI), Valley Forge University (Phoenixville, PA), Genesee Rapids (New York Collegiate League), Royal Oak Leprechauns (Great Lakes Collegiate League), Charlotte Rams (Southern Shores Professional League), and Notre Dame Prep (Pontiac, MI), leaving behind a legacy of student athletes who have gone on to great success on and off the field.

When developing He Gone Baseball Sarge focused on one Core Principle with every facet of the organization. That belief or principle is that Baseball is not easy. It is a game of opportunity and only those who work hard will succeed. While Hard work is paramount to success in the Game we must always remember that baseball is just that -- A GAME......And GAMES SHOULD BE FUN!

So while lessons, training, and truly every component of He Gone Baseball is built around demanding more, being firm, leaving behind no regrets there will always be an underlying element of fun. There will be competitions along the way. There will be nicknames handed out. There will be failures and successes. Most importantly there will be a great many laughs and smiles along the journey.

Described as 53 going on 13, Greg enjoys working with athletes of all ages from 4 to 94.
